Program Summary:

The position is a key role on the IT team - a small but mighty team that includes four other team members and the Department Director. This position is a new role on the team, as we support agency growth, and strategic needs relating business intelligence and reporting. The IT team at St. David's Center partners closely together to lead agency needs related technology investments/programs and is committed to supporting staff with the right technology and tools to support our mission!

Position Overview:

The Reporting Analyst will be responsible for the following:

    • Business intelligence reporting and visual reporting design
    • Optimizing of our usage of data across various agency databases and systems to achieve desired fundraising, electronic medical records (EMR), financial benchmarks and human resources management results.
    • Holding strategy and leadership across St. David's Center key systems and their integration and optimization for agency needs
    • Staying connected to product roadmaps and understanding the data residing in these systems to leverage this in our business intelligence efforts for the agency.
    • Primary responsibilities will be to lead the visual design and development of our agency reporting, collaborating with key stakeholders and recommending solutions, and partnering with our IT team for support in understanding our data pipelines.
    • This position will lead efforts to ensure the data produced meets informational and analytical reporting needs to assist in decision-making.
    • Additionally, this position will serve a critical role as an IT role within the team supporting agency needs as a team.
    • This position will work collaboratively and in coordination with agency leadership across St. David's Center.

    Schedule:

    This position is a hybrid role with onsite days at our Minneapolis headquarters, and after an initial onboarding, and opportunity for a schedule with remote working days.

    Compensation (Pay/Benefits):

    Our employees are our most valuable asset; therefore, we offer competitive pay and benefits. The pay range for these positions starts at $65,199 - $72,443 a year for full time, depending on qualifications (i.e., licensure and experience). This salary reflects a 40-hour workweek, annualized. Any agreed-upon reduction in weekly hours will be reflected in salary commensurately. Please inquire with interest.     Job Qualifications:

    Education: Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science or related field), or bachelor's degree and minimum of 3-year relevant experience, OR associate's degree plus minimum of five years of experience.

    Work Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in report design/dashboard development as a primary function of position
    • Required experience using Power BI or Tableau
    • Required experience using SQL
    • Required experience minimum of 1 year working within the Microsoft Suite of applications (Excel being most critical requirement)
    • Experience working independently and with deadline driven requirements
    • Proven track record of using data for visual storytelling and interest in data design

    6-10 years of experience using and maintaining a database as a primary function of a position using Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) required. Minimum experience of 3-5 years working within EMR's required, preference being in the healthcare field. Experience with Excel required. Experience with Raiser's Edge, Ceridian Dayforce, SharePoint development preferred. Proven track record using data to assist with decision-making. Must have experience with project management and the ability to independently manage work and trouble shoot issues. Experience working independently and with deadline driven requirements.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Qualifications:

    Required:

    • Advanced knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office 365, particularly critical/required advanced understanding of Power BI
    • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) products, and Microsoft Excel reporting capabilities. Including SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
    • Proficient in data organization and visualization
    • Strong critical thinking skills, technical leadership and proficiency working with data.
    • Demonstrated ability to strategize, problem solve, analyze data, make sound decisions, attend to details and manage projects.
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Ability to adapt to quickly changing work environment in which new opportunities present themselves frequently, while staying the course with projects already in process.
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
    • Strong customer service skills. Strong interpersonal skills/communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of individuals.

    Preferred:

    • EMR system content knowledge and understanding of the EMR interface
    • Experience or solid understanding of Microsoft Visio, Microsoft SharePoint, Raiser's Edge, Ceridian Dayforce / Dayforce reporting, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and Hypertext Markup Language (HTML)
    • Experience working with Python
    • Experience in managing applications or Human Resource Information System (HRIS) set-up/configuration. Ability to understand and implement workflows.
    • Experience working in social services and healthcare from a clinical perspective
    • Basic understanding of principles and strategies of philanthropy
    • Requires high degree of problem solving and the ability to work through critical situations i.e. the ability to evaluate security threats and follow time sensitive protocols
    • Requires high degree of accountability- supports project/product enterprise-wide accountability specific to focus areas
