On Call Mental Health Practitioner (Minneapolis)

Program Summary:

The Autism Day Treatment (ADT) program at Harman Center/Nicollet Center is for children ages 2-6 years, who have a medical diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or a related disorder. The program uses a mental health approach and leverages an interdisciplinary team of child therapists including mental health professionals, mental health practitioners, and occupational, and speech-language therapists.

Position Overview: On-call/substitute; Autism Day Treatment

  • Assist in providing children a structured, safe, therapeutic classroom environment.
  • Assist with daily self-help skills, such as diapering, toileting, washing hands, eating, etc.
  • Assist the mental health practitioner with daily set-up and clean-up of materials and activities.
  • Collaboration with the classroom team

Schedule: variable/on-call - Shifts would be 8:00am - 12:00 pm or 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Pay: 

Bachelor's level - $21.24 - $25.19/hr

Pre Licensed level - $27.79 - $33.32/hr

Job Qualifications:

Education -

  • Min. Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field
  • Experience -working with early childhood population diagnosed with autism, classroom/group care experience.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree + 1000 hours experience working with children
