Mental Health Practitioner I

Compensation (Pay/Benefits) Our employees are our most valuable asset; therefore, we offer competitive pay and benefits. The pay range for these positions starts at $44,600 - $52,400 a year for full time, depending on qualifications (i.e., licensure and experience). This salary reflects a 40-hour workweek, annualized. Any agreed-upon reduction in weekly hours will be reflected in salary commensurately. Please inquire with interest. This position is benefits eligible, including health and dental insurance, health savings account with an employer contribution, flexible spending accounts, and retirement account with matching contribution. Schedule: 32 hours, M-F.

Location: Minneapolis - Harman Center

Program Summary:

St. David's Center for Child & Family Development's Family Place program (Harman Center) is an early intervention, Preschool Mental Health Day Treatment program for young children (3-6) who struggle to manage their emotions and behavior at home, within their childcare/school setting and/or the larger community. Some may have experienced trauma, an early loss of or lack of consistent caregivers, various forms of abuse/neglect or may have been asked to leave typical childcare settings. Family Place has been providing services for over 30 years!

Position Overview:

· Work in collaboration with and under the supervision of the Mental Health Professionals. The Mental Health Practitioner I will support, plan and implement clinically informed and developmentally appropriate curriculum and a safe effective day treatment environment.

· Provide mental health services to children and families consistent with ethical best practices and St. David's Center mission, vision and values which results in a bridge between treatment milieu and home, improved client outcomes, and achieving targeted caseload enrollments.

· Complete documentation in accordance with laws and St. David's Center policies which results in clear communication to a variety of organizations and people regarding assessment, treatment goals, interventions, progress, and outcomes of enrolled clients.

· Demonstrate strong spirit of teamwork and flexibility by working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and Mental Health Professionals which results in a positive and supportive team atmosphere.

Job Qualifications:

Education

· Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field. **Must qualify as a Mental Health practitioner under DHS Rule 245.4871 Subdivision 26

Experience

· Relevant experience in the delivery of early childhood programming and mental health services.
