Clinical Consultant

Program Summary:

St. David's Center Clinical Consultant will provide reflective consultation to individuals and groups identified by agencies and governmental partners who have sought to engage St. David's Center in a contractual partnership for reflective consultation. The goals of reflective consultation services are to increase reflective capacities of individuals and groups; and to understand how professional judgment is informed and influenced by personal experience; both past and present. The Clinical Consultant will utilize their knowledge of research and clinical practice to provide regular, consistent individual and group reflective consultation. Consultative services will be provided with a collaborative, relational approach and will be informed by theories of individual, group, and institutional development as well as the field of infant and early childhood mental health.

Position Overview

· Provide consultative services consistent with ethical best practices and St. David's Center Mission, Vision & Values. Represent St. David's Center professionally and competently in the community.

· Facilitate regular and consistent individual reflective clinical consultation meetings with identified parties.

· Facilitate regular and consistent group reflective consultation meetings to cohorts of identified staff members.

· Provide initial and ongoing psychoeducational presentations to inform and provide leaders and participants a foundational understanding of reflective practice.

· Present feedback, appraisal and learnings to agency and project leaders during scheduled meetings.

· Participate regularly in group and individual supervision and in reflective practice groups to enhance and inform practice.

· Make use of supervision, literature, research, colleagues, workshops, training coursework, and consultants to expand existing knowledge base, enhance direct practice skills and positively impact program functioning.

· When requested, participate as a presenter in a St. David's in-service or as a presenter at a community location (ex: presenting to a parent group, a community group, or a mental health conference, etc.).

· Participate as an employee at agency in-services for the purposes of professional growth and development, when possible.

Schedule:

5-20 Hours Per MONTH, with the possibility of additional hours in the future.

Compensation:

$33.70 - $37.45/hr

Job Qualifications:

Education:

Master's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in a mental health field including Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field.

Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of experience working in infant and early childhood mental health. Mental health consultation experience.
